Local History Museum, you can go back in time! From decades of music and dancing to the 30-room hotel and casino that once occupied the area, come explore Hudson Lake in its heyday through postcards and photographs as part of the Hudson Lake Remembered exhibit. ![]() ![]() Imagine lifting the brim of your hat to see dappled golden sunlight on the surface of the Hudson Lake. A light breeze sweeps across the surface, and on the air the dreamy notes of a slow, steady waltz pour out from the band. It’s the 1890’s in a growing resort town on the outskirts of New Carlisle. Fast forward to the roaring 20’s. The rhythm of the waltz quickens to toe-tapping trumpet beats and the steady pounding of drums. The Charleston is the hottest step and that same lakeside community is now a thriving destination for Chicagoans to make a getaway.
Come enjoy this exciting exhibit on display at the HNC Local History Museum!
