Annual Meeting/Presentation - Thursday, March 13th 7 p.m.
Join us at the Old Republic for an interesting presentation titled,
Richard Risley Carlisle: Man in Motion, by John Kovach. Learn about
Carlisle's fascinating life from platting the Town of New Carlisle to
traveling all over the world performing as a circus and theatrical
entertainer. The presentation follows a very short business meeting to
elect 2008-09 officers. Refreshments served.
Bunny Breakfast - Saturday, March 22nd 9 and 11 a.m.
Join us for breakfast and a visit from the Easter Bunny! Kids, bring
your Easter baskets for the Easter Egg Hunt. Cost is $8 for adults and
$5 for kids. Ages 2 and under are free. Pre-Paid reservations are
required. Call HNC to make reservations.

Tree Planting - Saturday, April 26th 9:00 a.m.
HNC, Inc. and Gleaner Mill Creek Arbor will be planting trees in New
Carlisle tree lawns in honor of Arbor Day. Volunteers and/or monetary
donations are always appreciated. Meet at Memorial Park.

HNC Yard & Bake Sale - Friday & Saturday, May 4th & 5th 9:00
a.m. - 4:00 p.m. both days
Shop for a good cause! The HNC Yard sale is moving to the Old Republic this
Spring and we will be having a bake sale as well. Please call if you are
interested in donating items.
Preservation Awards - Thursday, May 8th 6:30 p.m.
HNC, Inc. will present historic preservation awards to individuals in
appreciation for their work in helping to preserve New Carlisle痴 historic
structures. The awards are held in honor of National Preservation Month.
The public is encouraged to attend.
Be a Building Watcher! Architectural Walking Tour - Saturday, May 10th 10:00 a.m.
Take a tour of New Carlisle’s National Register District. The tour will
be led by Director, Dana Groves. She will talk about the history of the
Town and will discuss the various architectural styles located within
the historic district. Meet at the gazebo at Memorial Park. Tour is free
and open to all ages. Dress comfortably for walking and weather.
Honoring Our Local Heroes: A Tribute to the Veterans of World War II,
the Korean War and the Vietnam War May 23rd―May 31st Times TBA
View the pictures, hear the stories and share in the experiences of our
local heroes who have served their country. We will be honoring the
veterans of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War. An opening
reception will be Friday, May 23rd from 5 to 8 p.m. Exhibit hours are
10―4 May 24th through May 31st.

Hometown Days Yard and Bake Sale - $5.00 Tours Thursday―Sunday July 24―26
HNC, Inc. will be having its annual yard sale during Hometown Days at the Old Republic. The yard and bake sale is on Thursday, Friday and
Saturday from 8―3. Tours of the house are on Saturday and Sunday from
11―5.Donations are appreciated for the yard sale and will be accepted
beginning May 1st.
NCHS Alumni Open House - Friday, July 25th 5―8 p.m. Catch up with fellow
alumni during the annual NCHS Alumni Open House. A great chance to
reminisce and look back at old yearbooks, pictures and memorabilia.
Refreshments served.

Ice Cream Social - Saturday, August 30th 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (New Carlisle Town Band begins concert at 1:30 p.m.)
Come to the Old Republic to enjoy ice cream and delicious homemade deserts while listening to the New Carlisle Town Band. The house and museum will also be open for tours.

Autumn Decor at a Quaint Cottage -
The Designers from the Village Shoppes are bringing Autumn's bounty to the historic Casaday House. Come enjoy a tour at 321 W. Michigan Street, New Carlisle.
Tours are $8 per person (Saturday, September 6th - Saturday, September 20th). 10am - 4pm each day. Tickets available at the door. Decorating seminars will also be held on September 9th & 16th from 11am to 2pm. SPECIAL SNEAK PEEK EVENT!!!($20 Pre-paid Reservation Required) - Wine and Appetizer Reception - Friday, September 5th, 6 to 8pm.

Heritage Harvest Fair - October 4th - 5th
Mark your calendars for the Heritage Harvest Fair. There is something to interesting the entire family as we demonstrate pioneer life through many 19th century activities like basket weaving, quilting, candle dipping, feather writing and more. The always popular Civil War encampment will be here again this year. Hungry? Come eat a bowl of hearty "Harvest Stew" or Ham and Beans. For those with a sweet tooth, delicious Kettle Corn cooked in an open kettle, or countless homemade baked goods are sure to please. Old-fashioned kids games will be available at 1pm on Saturday.
Lincoln Highway Day - October 11th
Historic New Carlisle, Inc. is teaming up with the Indiana Lincoln Highway Association (ILHA) to celebrate the original route of the Lincoln Highway through New Carlisle. A ceremony will take place at 2pm in front of City Hall to dedicate the Lincoln Highway kiosk provided by (ILHA). At 4pm a reception is being held at the Old Republic where photographs and other memorabilia will be on display. A special tour of the New Carlisle National Register District will be given by HNC Director - Dana Groves at 10am. This tour will begin at the gazebo in Memorial Park.
