History/Description: This charming home was built circa 1883 in the cottage style. The house was built for George F. Miller who then sold it to relatives in 1905. The house stayed in the family since its construction and was lived in for many years by George and Edna Casaday. George Casaday was the great grandson of George Miller.

The 1 ½ story home features a full screened in front porch, dormer windows which were added in the 1920s and a square bay window on the west side. The original wood clapboard siding was probably covered by the wood shingles during the 1920s as well.

In 2006, Historic New Carlisle, Inc. purchased the home and has rehabilitated the property. HNC, Inc. will sell the property with protective covenants for the exterior. House is located across from Memorial Park and two blocks from Elementary School and library. Located in New Prairie School District.
